A fateful car accident, a strange Abbey ruled by an even stranger Abbess, an insane Demon, a world where right and wrong becomes dangerously twisted, and a confident, rebellious teenager . . . .
Dayton Blainey is a foul-mouthed, grief-stricken young woman forced to live with a religiously eccentric aunt who favors her moral older sister. But when Dayton’s life becomes intertwined with a dangerous stranger, she suddenly finds herself at the center of a war fought since the beginning of time.
Trapped between what she believes is right, and a forbidden attraction, Dayton must come to terms with betrayal and her surprising lineage to stop a war before it even begins.
Review by Lisa Markson
I am certainly late to this party I feel stupid not having read these before now. This book was fantastic. Where can you get a book with Demons, Angels, Witches, and Gargoyles. I love how the author is able to wrap the reader up in the storyline and hold them hostage from the beginning to the end of the book. The story flowed seamless and without any lull moments that would lead a reader to get somewhat bored. The characters are very complex and given 3 dimentional qualities. The characters are not always black or white. I loved the character Dayton. The poor girl lost her mother and father and her and her sister are forced to go live with their crazy aunt who runs a religious sect. Dayton finds out on her birthday that she isn’t only human she is also half angel, but she finds this after her aunt makes a deal with a demon and she is thrust into a world fighting for their lives with another half demon Marcas. This demon is definitely hot hot hot. He is blood bonded with Dayton and it brings with on the fight between Marcas mom, the demon queen Lilith, the keepers of the Solomon treasures. I highly recommend this book and all other books written by R.K. Ryals she has the amazing ability of capturing a story and letting it take flight into many directions.

Should she ever become the owner of a fire-breathing dragon (tame of course), her life would be complete.
