A reluctant vampire hunter, stalking New York City as only a scorned bride can.
Elle Dupree has her life all figured out: first a wedding, then her Ph.D., then swank faculty parties where she’ll serve wine and cheese and introduce people to her husband the lawyer.
But those plans disintegrate when she walks in on a vampire sucking the blood from her fiancé, Greg. Horrified, she screams and runs—not away from the vampire, but toward it, brandishing a wooden letter opener.
As she slams the improvised stake into the vampire’s heart, a team of black-clad men bursts into the apartment. Turning to face them, Elle realizes Greg’s body is gone—and her perfect life falls apart.

I’m going to give it like 10 stars or I wish I could anyway. It was so good!!! Vampires are my favorite and the vampires in the story were just how I like them to be… Strong, creepy, blood sucking fiends that will kill humans. We still don’t know everything there is to know about them so I am curious to know more.
What an incredibly good story! This one had it all, romance, action, fights, parts that had me laughing and even a sad part that made me cry.
I read the whole book in one sitting, I could not put it down. It was mostly action but the main character Elle was super funny too. With everything that was happening to her she could still be funny and I really loved her character, she was strong but also showed that she was still a girl that needed help from the guys. I loved the guys, specially Nick and Tony. Malcolm was a great character too and I am glad that he came back when he did.
I can’t wait to read more, I need to know what happens next… specially to Greg. Gosh he is so bad, I wanted him to die a horrible death but I guess we have to wait a bit for his demise.
Will definitely recommend to all my friends. If you want to read a great vampire story, this is the one for you. No wimpy vampires here.

OMG, give this book a try. Margo has written a funny, snarky heroine in Elle, She finds her fiancee being turned into a vampire and that event starts her on a path to becoming a vampire slayer. Fast well written plot with great character development.
I was given a copy of this book for a honest review.
